Because of “Backyard Breeding”, these poor babies were born with no front legs
Please check out the North Shore Animal League where you can read their story. Also, you can help by signing the pledge to end Backyard Breeding and Donate to help these puppies live a “normal” life.
Thanks for taking the time to read this. It just breaks my heart when poor animals are subject to abuse and neglect.

Started: Friday, March 30th
Finished: Sunday, May 13th
Yarn: Lion Brand Wool-Ease Worsted Weight
Color: Red Sprinkles
Needles: Addi Turbo #9 16″ Circular *
Pattern:Adopt-Me Blanket from Knitting for Peace by Betty Christianson
I made the small (14″) version of this pattern because I only had 1 skein of the Red Sprinkles yarn. This was a very simple Garter Stitch pattern, and because there were many days where I was only able to 1 or 2 rows, it really took much longer than necessary to complete! * I bound off using size 11 needles, and it still seems a bit tight!
Today I’m starting another Buttonhole Bag using my left over Lambs Pride Victorian Pink and Chianti yarn. I need to get 1 more skein, and I’m thinking of maybe using a cream color. I haven’t gone to look at colors yet, so we’ll see.
