Pattern: One Row Scarf

Yarn: Malabrigo
Colors: Bijou Blue
Needles: Size 8US Brittany straights. I found out that these didn’t fit into my Piddleloop bag very well! One more reason to use circulars

I had 2 minor issues while knitting this scarf.

First, Miss Charlie LOVES wool yarn!!!

As you can see, she decided to pull out the scarf and make a nice bed for herself. Now, at first I didn’t really have a problem with this. I knew I’d have to roller off the hair and wash the scarf, but that’s not very difficult. However, when I went to knit on the scarf again, I realized I had a small amount of yarn attached to the scarf…and the remainder of the ball was lying at the bottom of the bag all by itself! I know, it’s very bad for cats to eat yarn, but I’m sure she didn’t eat much. I think she was more interested in sleeping on the lovely soft yarn.

My second problem came when I was binding off on Friday night. As I was getting the the last few stitches, I realized I didn’t have enough yarn to complete the bind-off and weave in the end. So…I had to undo what I had done and tink back the previous row. I decided to leave this little problem until Saturday.

I have a bunch of pictures from December that I need to post, so hopefully I will get them up by the weekend! Here’s to a fabulous 2008!!
