Whiskers on Wednesday
Charlie & Kennedy have done very well adjusting to their new home. In fact, with all the moving we’ve done in the past, they must have known this was our permanent home! They seemed pretty well adjusted with the place in a few hours, rather than a few days like it usually took them!
This is Charlie’s new favorite spot to sleep:

Charlie
Sometimes she sleeps on the ottoman, but usually she’s on the back of the chair facing the room. It kind of looks like she’s trying to ignore us in this picture

Kennedy
Kennedy sleeps in her cat bed. Then she gets up, stretches, walks past the TV and gets into the other cat bed! One of the beds used to be Charlie’s, but Kennedy has now claimed them both. Oh well, at least Charlie has the couch and chair to sleep on

Spring in Colorado
Last night I went to bed listening to the rain. I was quite surprised to wake up to this:

We’ve had more snow in March and April than we had all winter! Luckily, the snow didn’t stick to to road, so my drive to work wasn’t that bad.

By late morning the snow stopped and it’s clearing up now. For the rest of the week we’re supposed to be in the 60’s and 70’s!

I know this isn’t the best picture, but this is how it looks right now from my office window.
This is what happened when my family came to visit. It was in the 70’s for days before they arrived, then it was cold and snowing while they were here, and the day they left it was in the 70’s again! At least we had 1 really nice day while they were here. It was perfect, too, because that was the day we had scheduled to go on a tour of the Rocky Mountain Arsenal. My friend Cathy was our wonderful tour guide, and we had a great time spotting all the birds and animals.
Mittens from Norway
Before my parents came out last week, my mom’s cousin and her husband from Norway went to Wisconsin for a visit. They brought some gifts for us and look what I got:

Selbu - Votter
In Norwegian, Vott means mitten and Votter means mittens. Selbu is located in central Norway and it is where a 16 year old girl named Marit invented this style of knitting around 1850. I would love to visit Norway someday!
Thank you Berit & Per for the lovely mittens!
Dropping Stitches is Fun…
…when I’m doing it on purpose!

Lorna's Laces Lion & Lamb Multi
I haven’t been knitting as much as I’d like lately, but I did start the Clapotis at the end of February. I’m just over half-way and really enjoy working on it
We had a nice visit with my family this weekend (even though the weather wasn’t the greatest). I still need to look through my pictures, so I hope to have another post up soon!
