I’m sitting in DIA waiting for my flight to Milwaukee* to board. I found out on Monday that my Grandma had passed away and I’m flying home for the funeral. We knew the time was coming soon, but of course, it’s still sad. Especially since I haven’t been back to visit in quite a while. I’m traveling alone because Nathan’s Grandfather also passed away this week! He & his brothers will be flying to Illinois on Sunday.
It will be nice to see a lot of family and friends this weekend, although I’m not looking forward to the heat AND humidity.
Nathan & I were talking about how liitle time we seem to have to do the things that are important to us. We always seem to do things we “have” to do and not what we want to do. Make sure you tell your loved ones how much you care about them!
Enjoy the rest of your week & weekend! I hope to be back next week with more normal blogging and knitting

Safe travels, to all of you. Goodness! Two grands at basically the same time.
And yes, I think we get caught up in the hustle of the day-to-day and don’t get to really LIVE sometimes. We’ve just instituted a monthly dinner with my favorite aunt and uncle to avoid that “why is it always so long between visits?” thing. (They’re just over two hours away, so we meet in the middle.)

I’m so sorry. I know how this feels and it’s never easy. I’m thinking of you and your families at this time.
